Iken.in connects learners and educators to a single platform allowing continuous interaction and feedback. The sole motive being bridging the knowledge gap between existing education system and the industry needs with the aid of application based learning tools. Iken stands for the immense possibilities that open up in education when people collaborate and share their experiences and knowledge.
Iken.in allows you to earn kens (the knowledge currency) each time you answer a question posted by fellow-ikenites. If you want to know about alternate fuels to conserve energy or the chemical equation of photosynthesis, being it finding about the Galaxy or the core components of earth’s crust, get your queries resolved here at iken.in, and find options galore in the multi-lingual facility and highly interactive space.

What is ken?
Ken as the Knowledge currency of the iken world. At iken, knowledge collaborators don’t have any real currency but the kens which means More Knowledge = More Kens.
Kens can be earned via number of activities like answering a question, voting and referrals.
My study group at Iken makes it so much easier to prepare for exams. I don’t have to worry about attending boring tuition classes. Instead, my friends help me with most of the questions. My mom is so happy with me. -Jaya Joshi

Journey So far!
• April 16, 2008 – Launch of India’s first knowledge sharing portal: www.iken.in
• The website was built on a participatory learning model where the modes of education delivery ranged from webinars, videos, presentations, interactive games and documents. It integrated e-learning and social media features to create a unique online learning experience.
• Within a year, the site recorder over 30,000 registered users comprising of teachers, professionals and parents and over 20,000 unique multimedia course content in the form of videos, animation films, slideshows, mindmaps and assessment tests.
• The moderators at iken.in took care to see that the content was mapped to CBSE, ICSE, and State Board syllabus
• June, 2010 – Launch of new avatar of iken.in in a highly interactive Q&A format
• June 29, 2010: iken.in nominated at eIndia 2010 for India’s leading private e-learning portal
I have always believed in letting my child be. Even as Aditi grew up, I never forced her to study as the school curriculum tends to drain a child’s imagination. Iken portal is relaunched in a highly interactive Q&A format based on the insight that learning is most effective when one asks questions. It is only when the right questions are asked that one finds clarity of concepts learnt. This platform presents on-demand learning solutions, anytime, anywhere.
Since inception, there has been a surge in the number subject specific questions and answers amounting to over 10000 questions and 28000 answers from ikenites comprising of teachers, knowledge experts, students, professional, parents and others.
