Year – 2008

• Bilakhia Group (estb. 1986) laid the foundations of Axiom Education and the organization was renamed to Mexus Education Pvt. Ltd.
• Launched India’s first knowledge sharing portal – www.iken.in
• Established state-of-the-art Mexus Innovation Centre on the sprawling 20-acre industrial hub of the Bilakhia Group in Vapi

Year – 2009

March 2009: Launched India’s first hands-on activity based learning centre in Vapi

• Currently operational across 5 centres in India (Surat, Vapi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai) and soon to open up additional centres in Kharghar (Navi Mumbai) & Bhilwara (Rajasthan)
• Targets to develop 50 franchise centres at tier I & tier II cities across India

Sept 2009: Launched India’s first ‘comic textbook’ – a full colour comic book cum activity workbook mapped to NCERT curriculum

• Currently available for classes 1-10 in Science and Social Studies
• Launched ‘Explore Science’ comic cum activity books for ages 6-13 and Amber series for class 1 and 2.
• Soon to be made available in vernacular languages viz Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Kannada

Year – 2010

Iken Scientifica Season 3 launched in association with NatGeo and Ministry of Science & Technology

• Saw a participation of over 5, 00,000 students across 1000 schools.
• iken Scientifica takes the workshop route
• Starts franchise model, crosses a network of 100 + partners

Feb 2010: Supported a concert entitled ‘Follow Your Dreams’ to pledge against rising suicides and peer pressure in children

• Promoted in association with Dr. Palash Sen and Mr. Raghav Sachar at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RGIT) Fest Zodiac 2010
• Facebook Fan page enjoyed 1000+ fan following in week and currently mushrooming into 7000+ fans

March 2010: First Educational Enterprise to sponsor IPL 2010 cricket tournament
April 2010 – Launch of first Edutainment Store – Iken Store in Empress Mall, Vapi

• Currently operates 4 flagship Iken Stores (Mumbai, Vapi & Delhi)
• Shop-in-Shop stores operational across various branded retail outlets such as Crossword, Landmark, Reliance, Time-Out and More in different cities across the country
• Plans to step up operations through a series of company owned and company operated (COCO) stores and Franchise Owned Stores across major cities in India
• Records an average sale of Rs. 2 lakhs per week through online/telephone enquiries routed from its call centre
